These instructions illustrate the procedures for connecting and disconnecting some of the most common Ramsey silent chains. For information on chains not shown here consult Ramsey. Chains from different manufacturers differ in design and therefore should not be interconnected, nor should their parts be interchanged.
Any person working on a chain should follow good safety practices to prevent accidental injury. It is important to wear appropriate safety equipment including safety glasses, shoes, and gloves. Be sure to lock out equipment power switches before removing or installing a chain.
